D-Day 80th Anniversary Talk

This public presentation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy will feature a talk from Lt Col Andy Middlemiss BEM DL Ex KOSB.

Join colleagues from the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology for a drinks reception from 6pm, with Andy's talk entitled ‘The Normandy Campaign – 80 Years On’ starting at 6.30pm, followed by a Q&A session.

A fourth-generation soldier, Andy was an officer in the King's Own Scottish Borderers for 33 years serving all over the world. He has led several tours to the WW1 battlefields and is just back from a tour of Normandy.

Andy is the branch chair at SSAFA Perth and Kinross, which provides support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families in times of need. He was honoured for his services to SSAFA with a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen's New Year's Honours List in 2021.
